The Environment

The mountains of Dhofar are a mysterious, ancient place located in the south of Oman. During the Year, dramatic changes occur within the landscape of this southern region of Oman. While the rest of the Arabian Peninsula endures the summer heat, the monsoon comes from India and brings relief in the form of rain and fog. The season from July to September is locally known as Khareef and "Khrof" In the local Jabali dialect. These mountains are home to the Jabalis -The people of the mountain. The project Beyond the Fog is a four year project divided in to three chapters: the Environment, the people and there way of life, Heritage. Thous three chapters is a significant in the verge of change especially the last 10 years...
